The dining table isn't just a piece of furniture to me. It's the act of coming together, recognizing the table as the center of conversation, community, and shared experience. The design also expresses connection through its structure. Individual components rely on one another to create a unified whole, reflecting the same interdependence found in human relationships. The joinery and transitions between elements are thoughtfully resolved, reinforcing the idea that strength is found through connection rather than isolation.

During the milling process, a bullet embedded deep within the lumber was unexpectedly revealed. Rather than removing this remnant of the wood's history, I chose to preserve it as part of the final design. What was once an imperfection became a record of the material's past as a reminder that every piece of wood carries a story long before it becomes furniture.
